HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-240 CCR r 115 Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -240 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Arnold Beckman, Inc., has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Curb 6 Gutter Improvement Project No. 1968 -53 (Contract 1968 -J) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is less than the original contract amount by $3,098.73 because the sod portion of this project was deleted, and a penalty of $912.45 was applied for low concrete strengths on 1520.75 lineal feet of curb and gutter. This concrete was paid for at 75 per cent of the bid price as specified. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on May 26, 1969, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $35,401.67. May 26, 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk`/ The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
