Member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -248
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PORTABLE RADIO UNITS
THROUGH HENNEPIN COUNTY PURCHASING AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the County Purchasing Agent has reported that on Tuesday,
April 22, 1969 at 2 :00 P. M. they opened and tabulated bids received for
the Hennepin County Radio System portable radio units and that said bids
were as follows:
Motorola Communications Radio Corporation of General Electric
Electronics, Inc. America Company
$1, 033.00 /unit 810.00 /unit $767. 00/unit
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that the bid of General Electric Company in the amount of
$3,835.00 for five portable radio units in accordance with the specifications
is deemed to best the best bid by a responsible bidder, and the City Manager
is hereby authorized to purchase such civil defense: equipment through the
Hennepin County Purchasing Agreement.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck
and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
