Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -249
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF POLICE RADIO
EQUIPMENT THROUGH HENNEPIN COUNTY PURCHASING
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the County Purchasing Agent has reported that on Tuesday,
April 22, 1969 at 2 :00 P. M. they opened and tabulated bids received for
Hennepin County Radio System and that said bids were as follows:
Motorola Communications Radio Corporation of General Electric
Electronics, Inc. America ;Company
$9,720.00 $6,955.00 $6,778.00 and
WHEREAS, The City of Brooklyn Center's portion of the low bid is
$4,314.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that the bid of General Electric Company in the amount
of $6,778.00 for Hennepin County Radio System in accordance with the
specifications is deemed to be the best bid by a responsible bidder, of which
total amount Hennepin County is to furnish $2,464. 00 and the City Manager
is hereby authorized to purchase such police radio equipment through the
Hennepin County Purchasing Agreement.
*Note: $600.00 Civil Defense participation is i ed in this
June 9, 1969

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck
and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
