HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-254 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -254 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A LEASE OF LANDS FOR BEACH PURPOSES WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is in need of a swimming beach for the carrying out of a swimming instruction program by its Park and Recreation Department; and WHEREAS, Glad and Miller Construction Co. own certain lands within the City suitable for such purpose, and has offered to lease said lands to the said City; and WHEREAS, the cost of the leasing of said lands is shown to be reasonable for such facilities: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to lease from Glad and Miller Construction Co., the real estate described in the Lease Agreement which is attached herQto and made a part hereof by reference, under the terms and conditions outlined therein. June 16, 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Earl Rydberg and upon vote being taken, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same; none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
