HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-272 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -272 RESOLUTION REAPPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF OPEN SPACE LANDS WHEREAS, on December 31, 1968 an appropriation for the acquisition of open space lands in the amount of $39,494.88 was unexpended; and WHEREAS, on December 31, 1968 the unexpended appropriation balance was transferred to General Fund Unappropriated Surplus; and WHEREAS, the appropriation was unexpended because of delays in the acquisition of the open space lands; and WHEREAS, the City is in the process of acquiring said open space lands; and WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does provide for the reappropriation of funds from accumulated surplus in an amount equal to a previous appropriation if not expended or encumbered that purpose in the previous fiscal year; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the sum of $39, 494.00 be appropriated for the acquisition of open space lands; that said appropriation be made to Account No. 475 -50 (Park Capital Outlay Land Acquisition); and that such funds be provided from General Fund Unappropriated Surplus (Account No. 265). August 25, 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST; Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
