and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -272
RESOLUTION REAPPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF OPEN SPACE LANDS
WHEREAS, on December 31, 1968 an appropriation for the acquisition
of open space lands in the amount of $39,494.88 was unexpended; and
WHEREAS, on December 31, 1968 the unexpended appropriation balance
was transferred to General Fund Unappropriated Surplus; and
WHEREAS, the appropriation was unexpended because of delays in the
acquisition of the open space lands; and
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of acquiring said open space
lands; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does provide for the
reappropriation of funds from accumulated surplus in an amount equal to a
previous appropriation if not expended or encumbered that purpose in the
previous fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that the sum of $39, 494.00 be appropriated for the acquisition
of open space lands; that said appropriation be made to Account No. 475 -50
(Park Capital Outlay Land Acquisition); and that such funds be provided from
General Fund Unappropriated Surplus (Account No. 265).

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Howard Heck and
Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none.
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
