HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-283 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -283 RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR BROOKLYN CENTER CONTRACT 1969 -G WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on September 15, 1969, at 11:00 o'clock A.M., central daylight savings time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Contract 1969 -G, including Water Main Improvement Projects No. 1969 -76 and 1969 -78, Street Surfac- ing Improvement Projects No. 1969 -77 and 1969 -79, and Curb 8 Gutter Improvement Project No. 1969 -80; and that said bids were as follows: 1) Northdale Construction Co., Inc. $50 2) C. S. McCrossan, Inc. 61,048.46 3) Dunkley Surfacing Co., Inc. $61 4) Hardrives, Inc. 62,913.89 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that inasmuch as all bids submitted exceeded the Engineer's estimate for the work, it is deemed in the best interests of the City to reject all bids as outlined above. September 15 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST 41erk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
