moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -287
RESOLUTION REGARDING FUTURE STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
ON BRYANT AVENUE NORTH FROM 65th AVENUE TO 68th AVENUE
WHEREAS, the above noted area has been previously assessed for
large trunk storm sewers, and
WHEREAS, the above area is presently being assessed as part of
project 1968 -12 so as to share in the lateral storm sewer costs for
the drainage area, and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City that a drainage district
would be served by and financially obligated to pay for a complete
drainage system even though the system were constructed in stages
corresponding to the physical development of the area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that
it is inconceivable that additional storm sewers would be needed
to serve Bryant Avenue between 65th and 68th Avenues during the foreseeable
future, and
WHEREAS, certain residents in the above noted area requested
that the City Council go on record relative to this matter,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that there is no foreseeable need to
cause additional storm sewer construction nor to assess costs related
thereto against properties along Bryant Avenue between 65th and 69th
Avenues.
