HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-287 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -287 RESOLUTION REGARDING FUTURE STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS ON BRYANT AVENUE NORTH FROM 65th AVENUE TO 68th AVENUE WHEREAS, the above noted area has been previously assessed for large trunk storm sewers, and WHEREAS, the above area is presently being assessed as part of project 1968 -12 so as to share in the lateral storm sewer costs for the drainage area, and WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City that a drainage district would be served by and financially obligated to pay for a complete drainage system even though the system were constructed in stages corresponding to the physical development of the area; and WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that it is inconceivable that additional storm sewers would be needed to serve Bryant Avenue between 65th and 68th Avenues during the foreseeable future, and WHEREAS, certain residents in the above noted area requested that the City Council go on record relative to this matter, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that there is no foreseeable need to cause additional storm sewer construction nor to assess costs related thereto against properties along Bryant Avenue between 65th and 69th Avenues.
