HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-296 CCR Member Theodore Willxdintroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -296 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 72 5/8 x 3/4 WATER METERS WHEREAS, Section 6:05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of 5/8 x 3/4 water meters and has determined that the quotations of Power Process Equipment, Inc. in the amount of $34.07 each for a total of $2,453.04 is the best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of 72 5/8 x 3/4 water meters in the amount of $2,453.04 from Power Process Equipment, Inc. October 6, 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk" The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Earl Rydberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
