and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -307
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK
(CONTRACTED BY CITY)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota,
has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord-
ance with said contract:
Street Surfacing Improvement Project No.1968 -41 (Contract 1968 -E)
Russell Ave. No. from 200 ft. north of 53rd Ave. to 55th Ave.;
and 54th Ave. No. from Russell Ave. to Queen Ave.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted
and approved.
2. The value of work performed exceeded the original con-
tract amount by $386.25 because additional surfacing costing
$278.10 was necessary to complete the sanitary sewer, and this
amount has been charged by work order to Sanitary Sewer Improve-
ment Project No. 1968 -40. The remainder of the difference ($108.15)
was due to underestimating of plan quantities.
3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis-
fied on said contract on October 27, 1969, taking the contractor's
receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said
improvement project was $2,437.50.
