HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-314 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -314 RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH A WEED INSPECTOR'S FEE FOR THE CUTTING OF NOXIOUS WEEDS BY THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, the City weed inspector in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 18, is authorized to order the cutting, destruction, or otherwise eradication of noxious weeds on property within the City; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 18, authorizes the City to collect the costs and expenses of said weed cutting from the property owner; and F: WHEREAS, the City does incur expenses in the administration of the weed inspection program which are reimbursable from the property owner: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that a fee of $5.00 is a fair and just charge for administrative costs that are incurred on each order to cut weeds, and hereby direct that said fee be added to the costs to be collected from the property owner on each order to cut weeds issued by the City Weed Inspector.
