and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -315
RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 69 -160 AND 69 -243
RELATIVE TO SOD CONTRACT 1969 -D
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 69 -160 adopted April 21, 1969,
approved plans and specifications for sodding on street surfacing
improvement projects and directed advertisement for bids for Sod
Contract 1969 -D, and Resolution No. 69 -243 adopted May 26, 1969
accepted the bid of Marvin Rehbein Contracting, Inc., for this
work, and
WHEREAS, the sod restoration provisions for certain prev-
iously established water and sewer improvement projects immediately
adjacent to the street surfacing projects described in the above
mentioned resolutions had been provided for in other City contracts,
and
WHEREAS, since the sod restoration for a street surfacing
project and a water or sewer project on the same street is immed-
iately adjoining, it is more workable to engage one contractor for
all of the sod restoration required for a given street or work area,
and
WHEREAS, the present contract with Marvin Rehbein Contract-
ing, Inc., provides for the above sod restoration work at the con-
tract unit prices,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to amend so much of Resolutions
No. 69 -160 and 69 -243 to include the following water and sewer
improvement projects:

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
