HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-320 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -320 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF FOUR POLICE CARS THROUGH HENNEPIN COUNTY PURCHASING AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the County Purchasing Agent has reported that on Tuesday, November 10, 1969 at 2:00 P.M. they opened and tabulated bids received for furnishing of eighty (80) police patrol cars and that said bids were as follows: 80 265 HP Police Patrol Cars Freeway Ford, Inc. $200,093.71 Jay Kline Chevrolet Co. 204,098.20 Southtown Chrysler Plymouth, Inc. 200,350.05 Iten Chevrolet Co. 201,558.32 Town Chrysler Plymouth 213,420.00 Market Ford Sales 201,190.57 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Freeway Ford, Inc. in the amount of $10,599.20 for the furnishing of four (4) police patrol cars, including options, in accordance with the specifi- cations is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted. December 1, 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken tereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
