HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-327 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 69 -327 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Erwin Montgomery Construction Co. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accordance with said contract: Water Main Improvement Project No. 1969 -2 (Contract 1969 -B) Grimes Ave. No. from 67th Avenue to approx. 380' north of 67th; westerly on easement to east line of Velie Addition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed exceeded the original contract amount for Project 1969 -2 by $5.30 because of general underestimating of plan quantities. Note: The total amount of all projects covered by Contract 1969 -B should have been $305,213.20 rather than the original awarded amount of $309,133.50. The $3 difference in total contract amount re- sulted from a duplication of quantities. The quantities for Items No. 1, 2, 3 5, 7, 9 10 8 11 of Part A, Proj. No. 1969 -72, as listed on Page P -5 of the original bid proposal were also included with the total quantities listed on Page P -2 of the original bid proposal (group- ing 17 other water main projects). 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on November 24, 1969, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $3,294.30. December 15, 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST:��„�, ClA_rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Earl Rydberg, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
