moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -355
RESOLUTION SETTING WAGES AND SALARIES FOR THE YEAR 1970
WHEREAS, Section 2.07 of the City Charter for the City of Brooklyn
Center does state that the City Council is to fix the salary or wages of all
officers and employees of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered salaries and wages for
the year 1970:
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the City Council adopts the following
schedule fixing maximum salaries and wages for the year 1970:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be authorized to employ
such part -time and seasonal help as may be necessary, and to establish competitive
rates of pay for such help consistent with the 1970 budget appropriations; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salary schedules contained herein
become effective January 1, 1970; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council, in recognition that
certain salary rates have not yet been successfully negotiated in the Departments
of Police, Parks and Recreation, and Public Works, has extended 1969 salary
rates for related job classifications with the intent of making appropriate
amendments upon completion of negotiations.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Howard Heck
and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
