HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-131 CCR i Member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -131 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING, BASE SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -51 AND CURB GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -52 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: Estimated Project No. Improvement Cost 1969 -51 Street grading, base and surfacing on Lushine Drive from Shingle Creek Parkway to T.H. 100; and Sheehan Road from Shingle Creek Parkway to $220,207.00 T.H. 100. 1969 -52 Curb and gutter on Lushine Drive from Shingle Creek Parkway to T.H. 100; and Sheehan Road from Shingle Creek Parkway to T.H. 100. $23,060.00 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad- vising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs as indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the city on Monday, the 21st day of April, 1969 at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall pub- lish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the city. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE AB OVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Street Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1969 -51 and Curb Gutter Improvement Project No. 1969 -52. March 24, 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST: W+-a 1 rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
