Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0, 69 -137
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -66
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve-
ment consisting of the following:

1969 -66 Storm sewer in Camden Avenue North from 70th
Avenue to 73rd Avenue; and 73rd Avenue North
from Lyndale Avenue to approximately 650 feet
west of Camden Avenue. $52
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advis-
ing that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be con
structed at the estimated cost indicated above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by
Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held
at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 21st day of April, 1969,
at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall pub
lish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication
in the official newspaper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement con-
sists of all property located within the following area:
That part of Section 25, Township 119, Range 21, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of 73rd Avenue North and West River
Road;
thence south along the center of West River Road to the south line
of Lot 32;
thence west along said south line 168 feet;
thence south parallel with West River Road to the center of 70th
Avenue North;
thence west along the center of 70th Avenue North to the east line
of Lot 52;
thence north along the east line of Lot 52 and the northerly
extension thereof to a point distant 1,000 feet south from the
center of 73rd Avenue North;
thence northeasterly to the northeast corner of Lot 34;

thence northwesterly to a point in the west line of Lot 34,
distant 493 feet south from the center of 73rd Avenue North;
thence west parallel with 73rd Avenue North to a point distant
56 feet west of the east line of Lot 36;
thence north parallel with the east line of Lot 36 a distance of
325 feet;
thence east parallel with 73rd Avenue North to the west line of
Lot 34;
thence northeasterly to the intersection of 73rd Avenue North and
Camden Avenue North,
all in Auditor's Subdivision Number 309;
thence west along the center of 73rd Avenue North to a point 100 feet
west of the east line of Lot 5, Watt's Brooklyn Acres;
thence north parallel with said east line to a point 100 feet south
of the north line of said Lot 5;
thence northwest to the northeast corner of said Lot 5;
thence east to the northwest corner of Lot 2, Watt's Brooklyn Acres;
thence southeasterly to a point in the north -south centerline of
said Lot 2, distant 175 feet south from the north line thereof;
thence south along said north -south centerline to a point 175 feet
north of the center of 73rd Avenue North;
thence east parallel with 73rd Avenue North to the center of West
River Road;
thence to point of beginning.
4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Storm Sewer
Improvement Project No. 1969 -66.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary,
Earl Rydberg s Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
