HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-143 CCR 9' Member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -143 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (CONTRACTS 1969 -A 1969 -B) BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1. The plans and specifications for the following improve- ments prepared by the City Engineer are hereby approved and ordered filed with the Clerk: (1) CONTRACT NO. 1969 -A Water Main Improvement Projects 1969 -32, 40, 53 73. Sanitary Sewer Improvement Projects 1969 -33, 41, 54 68. Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Improvement Project No. 1969 -45 Sanitary Sewer Interceptor, Force Main Sewage Lift Station Proj.1969 -36. Storm Sewer Improvement Projects 1969 -39 55, 58 69. Grading Improvement Projects 1969 -37 43 51 56. (2) CONTRACT NO. 1969 -B Water Main Improvement Projects 1969 -2, 4 6 8 10, 12, 14 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 28, 30, 60 64 70. Sanitary Sewer Improvement Projects No. 1969 -61 72. Storm Sewer Improvement Projects No. 1969 -62 66. 2. The Clerk shall advertise for bids for such improvements by publication at least once in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, the date of first publication not less than three weeks prior to the date for receipt of bids. Said notice shall state that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the City Clerk in the amount of not less than five per cent (5%) of the bid. 3. Bid date is set for Thursday, April 17 1969, at 10:00 o'clock A.M., central daylight time. 4. The City Manager and City Engineer shall be authorized to open and tabulate the bids. March 24, 1969 Date Mayor G% ATTEST: le The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor therof Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
