Member John Leary introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -189
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CANCELLATION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS
ON CITY PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has acquired certain
properties for park and other public purposes which have special
assessments due thereon; and
WHEREAS, it is an established City policy to cancel the
special assessments on City property from the Hennepin County tax
rolls and to set up same for payments through the City Finance
office:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center that the County Auditor is authorized
and directed to cancel all unpaid special assessments on the
following parcels in the amounts listed, and the Finance Office
be directed to set up total unpaid principal for payment according
to established City policy.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
