HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-015 CCR 9 Member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -15 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -20 AND STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -21 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: 1969 -20 Water Main in Aldrich Avenue North from 59th Avenue to 62nd Avenue; Bryant Avenue North from 62nd Avenue to No. Lilac Drive; 62nd Avenue North from Aldrich Avenue to Bryant Avenue; and No. Lilac Drive from Bryant Avenue to Colfax Avenue. 1969 -21 Street Surfacing in Aldrich Avenue North from 59th Avenue to 62nd Avenue; 60th Avenue North from Aldrich Avenue to approximately 135 feet west of Aldrich Avenue; 61st Avenue North from approximately 135 feet west of Aldrich Avenue to approximately 135 feet east of Aldrich Avenue; 62nd Avenue North from approximately 135 feet west of Bryant Avenue to approximately 135 feet east of Aldrich Avenue; Bryant Avenue North from 62nd Avenue to No. Lilac Drive; and No. Lilac Drive from Colfax Avenue to Bryant Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs of $34,525.00 and $26,155.00, respectively NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the Earle Brown Elementary School, 5900 Humboldt Avenue North, on Monday, the 27th day of January, 1969, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks's publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Water Main Improvement Project No. 1969 -20 and Street Surfacing Improvement .RESOLUTION NO. 69 -15 Project No. 1969 -21. anua 1 ry 6, 969 Date Mayor ATTEST: a Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly p g g Y seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
