Member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -17
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER
MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -26 AND STREET SURFACING
IMPROVEMENT PROTECT NO. 1969 -27
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there. be constructed improvements consisting
of the following:
1969 -26 Water Main in Logan Avenue North from 55th Avenue to 57th Avenue.
1969 -27 Street Surfacing on Logan Avenue North from 55th Avenue to 57th
Avenue; and 56th Avenue from approximately 126 feet west of Logan Avenue to
approximately 134 feet east of Logan Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said
proposed improvemenisare feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated
costs of $14,660.00 and $11,614.00, respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429,
Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the
Earle Brown Elementary School, 5900 Humboldt Avenue North, on Monday, the
27th day of January, 1969, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M. central standard time, and the
clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication
in the official newspaper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND /OR
TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS.
4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Water Main Improvement
Project No. 1969 -26 and Street Surfacing Improvement Pro" ct No. 1,

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck
and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
