HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-036 CCR 207- Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -36 RESOLUTION APPENDING EXISTING STREET SURFACING POLICY TO INCLUDE BOULEVARD RESTORATION WHEREAS, it has been the practice on residential street surf- acing projects to leave the boulevard restoration for the property owners to complete, and WHEREAS, this policy has caused some difficulty and often resulted in inconsistent boulevard restoration. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the following policy as it relates to sod restoration on residential streets be carried out on all future construction projects: 1) For all future residential street projects, the boulevard restoration shall be completed under the direction of the City Engineer and the costs associated therewith shall be included in the street assessment. 2) For all street surfacing projects that were not assessed during 1968, this restoration work will be completed, under the direction of the City Engineer, during 1969 and assessed against only those property owners who have not completed the boulevard restoration on their own initiative. -5 Tanuary 20. 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST: aj L wlrk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
