Member John Leary introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -83
RESOLUTION COMMENDING BROOKLYN CENTER PLANNING
COMMISSIONER HELMER ENGSTROM
WHEREAS, Commissioner Helmer Engstrom has been instrumental
in assisting Brooklyn Center to adhere its goals of Comprehensive
Community Development Plan; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Engstrom has contributed a large
measure of time, energy, and talent, without desire of personal
gain and with the welfare and improvement of the City of
Brooklyn Center his foremost consideration:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to express sincere
appreciation to Commissioner Helmer Engstrom for his efforts
on behalf of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by member Earl Rydberg and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
Howard Heck, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and. adopted..
