HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-099 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69 -99 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -28 AND PROPOSED STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -29, AND PROVIDING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF UNASSESSED COST OF WATER IMPROVEMENT NO. 1960 -1 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: 1969 -28 Water main in France Place from 57th Avenue North to Halifax Avenue North. 1969 -29 Street surfacing on France Place from 57th Avenue North to Halifax Avenue North. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advis- ing that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs of $9,780.00 and $7,159.00, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 10th day of March, 1969, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: ALL LO'T'S AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Water Main Improvement Project No. 1969 -28 and Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1969 -29. RESOLUTION NO 69 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that the properties which will be served by Water Main Improvement Project No. 1969 -28 when said improvement is completed will also be bene- fitted by Water Improvement No. 1960 -1, which properties were not initially assessed for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1; and that as to expenditures made for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1 from general ad valorem tax levies or other sources and funds in addition to special assessments heretofore made for said improvement, the City shall be reimbursed therefor by adding an estimated $510.00 to the assessment to be levied for Water Main Improvement Project No. 1969 -28, and the City C]crk shall cause notice that such additional amount will be assessed to be included in the notice of hearing in the making of said Water Main Improvement oject No. 1969 -28. February 24, 1969 Date Mayor ATTEST: k Deputy C e rk�' The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
