RESOLUTION NO. 2025-89
RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AN APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FROM THE MINNESOTA BROWNFIELDS GAP FINANCING GRANT PROGRAM FOR PHASE I AND PHASE II ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT FOR THE ARMANI CONSTRUCTION
& DEVELOPMENT TOWNHOMES PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center supports the Armani Construction & Development Townhomes Project; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Brownfields Gap Financing Program (the “Program”) permits funding for, among other things, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment; and
WHEREAS, Armani Construction & Development desires to obtain funding for Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessment through the Program, and
WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to adequately manage a Program grant and;
WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the grant agreement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, after appropriate examination and due consideration, the governing body of the City:
Finds that it is in the best interests of the City’s development goals and priorities to apply for a Minnesota Brownfield Gap Financing Program grant to fund Phase I and Phase II environmental
site assessment for the Armani Construction & Development Townhomes Project.
Finds that the Minnesota Brownfield Gap Financing Program grant funds may be used for this purpose.
Authorizes the City Manager to submit on behalf of the City an application to the Minnesota Brownfields Gap Financing Program for grant funds for this purpose.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Jerzak
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kragness and Mayor Graves
And the following voted against the same:
Whereupon said resolution as declared duly passed and adopted.
