HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-202 CCR1 1 Member jo Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, on May 23, 1967, the City of Brooklyn Center and the County of Hennepin entered into an agreement which provided for the sharing of certain costs for the installation and main- tenance of a traffic control signal at the intersection of County Road 10 and Xerxes Avenue North in the City of Brooklyn Center. WHEREAS, said agreement stipulated, among other things, that the City of Brooklyn Center should pay to the County 75 per cent of the construction costs for this installation, the total cost of which was estimated to be $16,000.00. WHEREAS, the subject signal installation has been completed by Hennepin County on a force account basis using County employees at a total cost of $10,958.76, and a statement has been presented to the City of Brooklyn Center for payment in the amount of $8,219.07, which cost represents 75 per cent of the total cost. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to appropriate from the Brooklyn Center Municipal State Aid Street Account the sum of $8,219.07. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to request the Commissioner of Highways to approve this appropriation and forward said sum of $8,219.07 to the City of Brooklyn Center for the purpose of satis- fying Brooklyn Center's obligations as set forth above.
