HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-206 CCRMember John Leary and moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION NO. 68 -206 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -48 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: 1968 -48 Storm sewer in Camden Avenue North from 65th Avenue North to approximately 900 feet south of 65th Avenue North. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advis- ing that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be con- structed at an estimated cost of $4,825.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 23rd day of September, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the city. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement con- sists of all lots and parcels lying within an area in the south half of Section 36, Township 119, Range 21, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of 65th Avenue North and Bryant Avenue North; thence southerly along Bryant Avenue North a distance of approximately 900 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 8, Mendenhall's Outlots; thence easterly along the south line of Lot 8, Mendenhall's Outlots, to the centerline of Camden Avenue North (extended); thence northerly a distance of 35 feet to a point along the centerline of Camden Avenue North (extended); thence easterly and northerly along the Minnesota Department of Highways right -of -way to a point at the intersection of 65th Avenue North and Lyndale Avenue North; thence westerly along the center line of 65th Avenue North to the point of beginning, except street. 4. This proposed improvement shall be desiā€¢nated Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1968 -48. ATTEST: September 9, 1968 Date C The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
