HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-209 CCRMember John Leary and moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION NO. 68 -209 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING, BASE 8 SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -51 AND CURB 8 GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -52 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: 1968 -51 Street grading, base and surfacing on Camden Avenue North from 66th Avenue North to a point approximately 900 feet south of 65th Avenue North, 1968 -52 Curb and gutter on Camden Avenue North from 66th Avenue North to a point approximately 900 feet south of 65th Avenue North. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advis- ing that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs of $18,089.00 and $8,528.00, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 23rd day of September, 1968, at 7:36 o'clock P.M., C.D.T., and 7:38 o'clock P.M., C.D.T., respectively, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the city. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: ATTEST: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE NAMED STREETS WHERE THE PROJECT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Street Grading, Base 8 Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1968 -51 and Curb 8 Gutter Improvement Project No. 1968 -52. September 9, 1968 Date The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
