HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-215 CCRMember john Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: ATTEST: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -215 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED CURB 6 GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -53 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: 1968 -53 Curb and gutter on Girard Avenue North from 60th Avenue to North Lilac Drive; Fremont Avenue North and Emerson Avenue North from 59th Avenue to 62nd Avenue; 60th Avenue North from Humboldt Avenue to Dupont Avenue; 61st Avenue North and 62nd Avenue North from Fremont Avenue to Dupont Avenue; and North Lilac Drive from Humboldt Avenue to Dupont Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advis- ing that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be con- structed at an estimated cost of $41,800.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 30th day of September, 1968, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the city. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE NAMED STREETS WHERE THE PROJECT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Curb 8 Gutter Improvement Project No. 1968 -53. September 16, 1968 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member EarlRydberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
