HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-242 CCR1 1 Member john Leary and moved its adoption: October 14, 1968 ATTEST: aez„„4"; C1e`f'k introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION NO. 68 -242 RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE DISBURSEMENT OF CASH ESCROW FOR GEORGE'S TERRACE 2ND ADDITION WHEREAS, on November 18, 1963, the (then) Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center received a cash escrow in the amount of $5,700.00 to guarantee payment for street surfacing in George's Terrace 2nd Addition in Brooklyn Center, and WHEREAS, on August 17, 1964, the (then) Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center reduced the cash bond from $5,700.00 to $1,600.00 for accomplished street surfacing, and WHEREAS, on July 19, 1965, the (then) Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center reduced the cash escrow from $1,600.00 to $1,100.00, and WHEREAS, the street surfacing as guaranteed by the above mentioned cash escrow was duly installed as part of Project No. 1967 -29, and WHEREAS, the cost attributable to George's Terrace 2nd Addition for the above mentioned project is $175.95. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to direct the City Treasurer to negotiate the existing cash escrow and credit the proper con- struction account for a total of $175.95. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer issue a check in the amount of $924.05 to George Johnson, which amount represents the balance to be returned to him as cash escrow excess. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member EarlRydberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 73
