HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-243 CCR1 1 Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -243 RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE DISBURSEMENT OF CASH ESCROW FOR GEORGE'S TERRACE 3RD ADDITION WHEREAS, on October 6, 1965, the (then) Village of Brooklyn Center received a cash escrow in the amount of $7,700.00 to guarantee payment of street surfacing in George's Terrace 3rd Addition in Brooklyn Center, and WHEREAS, on August 29, 1966, the (then) Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center reduced the cash bond from $7,700.00 to $2,300.00 for accomplished street surfacing, and WHEREAS, the street surfacing as guaranteed by the above mentioned cash bond was duly installed as part of Project No. 1967 -29, and WHEREAS, the amount attributable to George's Terrace 3rd Addition for the above mentioned project is $354.72. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center direct the City Treasurer to negotiate the existing cash escrow and credit the proper construction account a total of $354.72. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer issue a check in the amount of $1,945.28 to George Johnson, which amount represents the balance to be returned to him as cash escrow excess. October 14, 1968 ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 71
