HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-247 CCR1 1 1 After completing the foregoing canvass, member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO, 68 -247 RESOLUTION REGARDING CANVASS OF NOVEMBER 5, 1968 CITY ELECTIONS BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby determined upon the foregoing canvass that Theodore L. Willard is declared the duly elected City Councilman. BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby determined upon the foregoing canvass that the referendum question: "Shall the City of Brooklyn Center borrow money and issue its negotiable coupon bonds in the amount of not to exceed $1,482,000 for acquisition and betterment of a civic center?" is declared to be resolved in the affirmative. BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby determined upon the foregoing canvass that the referendum question: "Shall the City of Brooklyn Center borrow money and issue its negotiable coupon bonds in the amount of not to exceed $472, 000 for the purpose of providing money for acquisition and betterment of public buildings for municipal services including storage of street and fire equipment?" is declared to be resolved in the affirmative. BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby determined upon the foregoing canvass that the referendum question: "Shall the City of Brooklyn Center borrow money and issue its negotiable coupon bonds in the amount of not to exceed $296,000 for the purpose of providing money for acquisition and betterment of parks and playgrounds?" is declared to be resolved in the affirmative. November 5, 1968 Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 29
