its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 68 -280
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1968 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center
does provide for a contingency appropriation as a part of the General Fund Budget
and further provides that the contingency appropriation may be transferred to any
other appropriation by the City: Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charterdoes provide for the transfer
of unencumbered appropriations from one department to another within the General
Fund by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does also provide for the
increase of a budget appropriation if the actual receipts exceed the estimates
by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the 1968 General Fund Budget be amended as follows:

1. Transfer $11,813 from the Mayor and Council's Contingency Fund
Appropriation (Account #401 -48) to the following appropriations in the amounts listed:
Assessor, Labor #4053 -10) $2,300
Assessor, Furniture and Fixtures #4053 -52) 150
Assessor, Mileage #4053 -23) 500
Assessor, Communications #4053 -20) 25
Assessor, Printing and Publishing #4053 -21) 50
Inccpendent Audit, Professional and Consultart
#4055 -13) 500
Legal, Professional and Consultant #406 -13) 3,000
Legal, Dues and Subscriptions #406 -43) 88
Government Buildings, Repair and Maintenance

2. Transfer $3,600 from Mayor and Council's Professional and
Consultant Appropriation #401 -13) to Parks and Recreation Professional and
Consultant Appropriation #472 -13)

3. Transfer $1,763 from Vehicle Maintenance Insurance Appropriation
#425 -41) to Administrative Office Insurance Appropriation #4051 -41)
4. Transfer $600 from Library Building Maintenance Labor Appropriation
#462.10) to Government. Building Labor Appropriation #409 -10)
5. Increase the appropriation for the following budgeted items in
the amount listed for the reason that the actual receipts from the activity exceeded
the budget revenue estimate by at least the amount of the appropriation increase:

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Earl Rydberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard
Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
