Member John Leary introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 68 290
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER
MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -10 AND PROPOSED STREET
SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -11
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improve-
ments consisting of the following:
1969 -10 Water main in Camden Avenue North from 57th Avenue
to 59th Avenue; 58th Avenue North from Camden Avenue to 150 feet east
of centerline Camden Avenue; 57th Avenue North from 150 feet west of
centerline Aldrich Avenue to 30 feet east of centerline Camden Avenue;
and Aldrich Avenue North from 56th Avenue to 57th Avenue.
1969 -11 Street surfacing on Camden Avenue North from 57th
Avenue to 59th Avenue; 58th Avenue North from approximately 135 feet
west of Camden Avenue to approximately 255 feet east of Camden Avenue;
57th Avenue North from approximately 135 feet west of Aldrich Avenue
to Camden Avenue; Aldrich Avenue North from 56th Avenue to 57th Avenue;
and 56th Avenue North from Aldrich Avenue to approximately 136 feet
east of Aldrich Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad-
vising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they
can be constructed at estimated costs of $23,773.00 and $22,252.00,
respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted
by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be
held at the Earle Brown Elementary School, 5900 Humboldt Avenue North,
on Monday, the 13th day of January, 1969, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.,
central standard time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time
and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official news-
paper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements
is as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS,
AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS.
4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Water Main
Improvement Project No. 1969 -10 and Street Surfacing Improvement
Project No. 1969 -11.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Earl Rydberg and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
