HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-290 CCR1 1 Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 68 290 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -10 AND PROPOSED STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -11 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improve- ments consisting of the following: 1969 -10 Water main in Camden Avenue North from 57th Avenue to 59th Avenue; 58th Avenue North from Camden Avenue to 150 feet east of centerline Camden Avenue; 57th Avenue North from 150 feet west of centerline Aldrich Avenue to 30 feet east of centerline Camden Avenue; and Aldrich Avenue North from 56th Avenue to 57th Avenue. 1969 -11 Street surfacing on Camden Avenue North from 57th Avenue to 59th Avenue; 58th Avenue North from approximately 135 feet west of Camden Avenue to approximately 255 feet east of Camden Avenue; 57th Avenue North from approximately 135 feet west of Aldrich Avenue to Camden Avenue; Aldrich Avenue North from 56th Avenue to 57th Avenue; and 56th Avenue North from Aldrich Avenue to approximately 136 feet east of Aldrich Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad- vising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs of $23,773.00 and $22,252.00, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the Earle Brown Elementary School, 5900 Humboldt Avenue North, on Monday, the 13th day of January, 1969, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official news- paper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS, AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Water Main Improvement Project No. 1969 -10 and Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1969 -11. 177 1 RESOLUTION NO. 68 -290 ATTEST: December 16, 1968 Date The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 179
