HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-089 CCR1 1 1 Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -89 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -35 AND STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -36 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an im- provement consisting of the following: 1968 -35 Water main in Northport Drive from 53rd Place to approximately 385 feet north. 1968 -36 Street surfacing on Northport Drive from 53rd Place to approximately 385 feet north. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs of $6,833.00 and $2,728.00, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 29th day of April, 1968, at 8:00 o'clock PM and 8:05 o'clock PM, daylight saving time, respectively, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Water Main Improvement Project No. 1968 -35 and Street Surfacing Improve- ment Project No. 1968 -36. April 15, 1968 Date ATTEST: K2/4 ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENT. er The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Earl Rydberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Rydberg, John Leary, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
