HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-100 CCRMember Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 68 100 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -12 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: 1968 -12 Storm sewer in Camden Avenue North (extended) from 65th Avenue North to 68th Avenue North (extended); and 67th Avenue North from Bryant Avenue to 5th Street North. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $45,909.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 20th day of May, 1968, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., daylight savings time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement consists of all lots and parcels lying within an area in the north half of Section 36, T. 119, R. 2.1, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: "Beginning at the intersection of 65th Avenue North and Lyndale Avenue North; thence westerly along 65th Avenue North to a point 163 feet west of the centerline of Bryant Avenue North; thence northerly parallel with Bryant Avenue North to a point 285 feet north of 68th Avenue North extended; thence easterly and parallel with 69th Avenue North a distance of approximately 313 feet to the west side of Parcel 4040; thence northerly along the west side of Parcel 4040 for a distance of 200 feet; thence easterly and parallel to 69th Avenue North to a point 600 feet west of the centerline of Lyndale Avenue North; thence southerly and parallel with Lyndale Avenue North to a point 279.2 feet south of the centerline of 69th Avenue North; thence easterly and parallel with 69th Avenue North to the centerline of Lyndale Avenue North; thence south to the point of beginning." 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 68 100 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1968 -12. April 29. 1968 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member EarlRydberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
