HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-102 CCR1 1 1 Member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -102 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -13 AND PROVIDING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF UNASSESSED COST OF WATER IMPROVEMENT NO. 1960 -1 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: 1968 -13 Water main in 67th Avenue North from Bryant Avenue to Camden Avenue; Camden Avenue North from 65th Avenue to 67th Avenue; and 66th Avenue North from Camden Avenue to Lyndale Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advis- ing that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be con- structed at an estimated cost of $16,931.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 20th day of May, 1968, at 8:05 o'clock P.M., daylight savings time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE NAMED STREETS TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE PROJECT. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Water Main Improvement Project No. 1968 -13. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that the properties which will be served by Water Main Improvement Project No. 1968 -13 when said improvement is completed, will also be benefitted by Water Improvement No. 1960 -1, which properties were not initially assessed for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1; and that as to expenditures made for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1 from general ad valorem tax levies or other sources and funds in addition to special assessments heretofore made for said improvement, the City shall be reimbursed therefor by add- ing $14,049,00 to the assessment to be levied for Water Main Improvement Project No. 1968 -13, and the City Clerk shall cause notice that such additional amount will be assessed to be included in the notice of hear- ing in the making of said Water Main Improvement Project No. 1968 -13. RESOLUTION NO. 68 102 ATTEST: April 29. 1968 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
