HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-103 CCR1 1 Member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO, 68 -103 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DISPOSAL OF UNCLAIMED AND INOPERABLE VEHICLES WHEREAS, numerous vehicles have been confiscated by the City Police Department or abandoned on City streets; and WHEREAS, said vehicles have been stored for longer than six months on City property at 6445 Lyndale Avenue North; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the vehicles are inoperable and would constitute a menace on the public roadways or a public nuisance if stored on private property within the City; and WHEREAS, it is therefore desirable to "junk -out" the cars in a single lot rather than auctioning them individually: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize the City Manager to seek quotations for the disposal of the following list of unclaimed inoperable vehicles which are in the possession of the City of Brooklyn Center: Date Received 2 -19 -67 12 -9 -67 12 -2 -66 2 -28 -67 11 -6 -66 5 -9 -67 5 -19 -67 4 -18 -67 5 -13 -67 5 -9 -67 4 -22 -67 6 -2 -67 11 -2 -67 11 -2 -67 9 -15 -67 Unknown 10 -14 -67 Unknown (B. May 6, 1968 Date Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary and Earl Rydberg; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
