and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 68_J
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -38
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an im-
provement consisting of the following:
1968 -38 Street surfacing on Camden Avenue North from 67th
Avenue to 68th Avenue (extended); 68th Avenue North (extended) from
Camden Avenue to 5th Street; 5th Street North from 68th Avenue
(extended) to 67th Avenue; and 67th Avenue North from Camden Avenue
to Lyndale Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad-
vising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be
constructed at an estimated cost of $16,220.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted
by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be
held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 20th day of May,
1968, at 8:25 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk
shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks'
publication in the official newspaper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement
is as follows:
4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street
Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1968 -38.
ATTEST:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS
WHERE THE PROJECT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John
gr1 Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the folowing voted against the same:
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
