HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-112 CCR1 1 Member john Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -112 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -18 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: 1968 -18 Water main in 59th Avenue North from 168 feet west of centerline Humboldt Avenue to Emerson Avenue and from Colfax Avenue to Lyndale Avenue; and 55th Avenue North from Emerson Avenue to Camden Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $111,589.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 3rd day of June, 1968, at 8:10 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENT. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Water Main Improvement Project No. 1968 -18. ATTEST: May 13, 1968 Date Mayor Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Jo Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
