and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -34
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve-
ment consisting of the following:
1968 -34 Street surfacing on Oliver Avenue North and Morgan
Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue; Newton Avenue North
from 53rd Avenue to 54th Avenue; 54th Avenue North from 159 feet
west of centerline Oliver Avenue to 156 feet east of centerline Morgan
Avenue; and 53rd Avenue North from Oliver Avenue to Morgan Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad-
vising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be
constructed at an estimated cost of $27,145.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by
Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be
held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 22nd day of July,
1968, at 8:15 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk
shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks'
publication in the official newspaper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is
as follows:
4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street
Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1968 -34.

ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS
WHERE THE PROJECT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Earl Rydberg,
Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
