Member John Leary introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
ATTEST:
July 22, 1968
RESOLUTION NO. 68 -169
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK
(CONTRACTED BY CITY)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Erwin Montgomery Construction
Company has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in
accordance with said contract:
Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1967 -47
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby
accepted and approved.
2. The value of work performed exceeded the original
contract amount by $1,172.16 because the Water Department requested
the addition of two gate valve manholes, which were constructed at
a total cost of $1,100.00. Also, two catch basins and RCP leads
were added at 69th and France Avenues North at a cost of $816.60,
50 per cent of which will be paid by Hennepin County. A substantial
decrease in the sod quantities resulted in the net contract increase
as shown.
3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis-
fied on said contract on July 8, 1968, taking the contractor's receipt
in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement
project was $18,429.14.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Theodore Willard, and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary,
Earl Rydberg, and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
