HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-176 CCRThe Mayor announced that the meeting was open for the consideration of proposed Water Main Improvement Project No. 1968 -33. The clerk produced an affidavit of publication of notice of hearing on the proposed improvement showing two weeks publication thereof in the official newspaper, the last publication being on July 18, 1968, which affidavit was examined and found satisfac- tory and ordered placed on file. The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to present arguments either for or against the proposed improvement. After hearing and considering all objections, and the property owners appearing in favor of said improvement, member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -176 RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -33 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that it is neces- sary and for the best interests of the City and the owners of property specially benefited thereby, that the following improve- ment shall be constructed: July 22. 196,8 Water main in Oliver Avenue North and Morgan Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue; Newton Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 54th Avenue; 54th Avenue North from approximately 150 feet west of Oliver Avenue easterly to Morgan Avenue; and 53rd Avenue North from Oliver Avenue to Morgan Avenue. Date ATTEST: i. Project No. 1968 -33 The estimated cost is $39,527.00. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; Philip Cohen John Leary, Earl Rydberg, and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same; none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 153.
