HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-177 CCRThe Mayor announced that the meeting was open for the consider- ation of proposed Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1968 -34. The clerk produced an affidavit of publication of notice of hearing on the proposed improvement showing two weeks publication thereof in the official newspaper, the last publication being on July 18, 1968, which affidavit was examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file. The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to present arguments either for or against the proposed improvement. After hearing and considering all objections, and the property owners appearing in favor of said improvement, member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that it is neces- sary and for the best interests of the City and the owners of prop- erty specially benefited thereby, that the following improvement shall be constructed: July 22, 1968 ATTEST: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -177 RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -34 Project No. 1968 -34 Street surfacing on Oliver Avenue North and Morgan Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue; Newton Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 54th Avenue; 54th Avenue North from 159 feet west of centerline Oliver Avenue to 156 feet east of centerline Morgan Avenue; and 53rd Avenue North from Oliver Avenue to Morgan Avenue. The estimated cost is $27,145.00. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; Philip Cohen John Leary, Earl Rydberg and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1 i5
