RESOLUTION NO. 68 -184
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 72 5/8 x 3/4
WATER METERS
WHEREAS, Section 6 :05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center
requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council
prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials
or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract
exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000) but is less than twenty -five hundred
dollars ($2,500.00); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase
of 72 5/8 x 3/4 water meters and has determined that the quotation of Power
Process Equipment Co. in the amount of $2,453.04 for the above is the best
quotation submitted:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of
72 5/8 x 3/4 water meters in the amount of $2,453.04 from Power Process
Equipment Co.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard
Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
