RESOLUTION NO. 68 -8
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR MOTOR GRADER
WHEREAS, the City Manager and City Clerk have reported that on
December 12, 1967 at 2 P. M. they opened and tabulated bids received for
a motor grader and that said bids were as follows:

*Warranty was qualified "for other than fair wear and tear" and
ZIEGLER INC. GEO. T. RYAN CO.
CAT 12F ADAMS
WHEREAS, the Hall Equipment Company bid for a Galion machine was
qualified with respect to the warranty provisions in such a manner as to be
unacceptable to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has adequately illustrated in
a manner directed to or presented to the City Council that the operational
economy and salvage value of the Caterpillar motor grader is superior to the
Galion machine:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the bid of Ziegler Inc. for a Caterpillar 12F
Motor Grader with the 5 year warranty option all in the amount of $25,992.00
and all in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid
submitted by responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard
Heck and Theodore Willard,
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
