RESOLUTION NO. 68 -16
RESOLUTION FOR REVOCATION AND DESIGNATION OF COUNTY
ROAD STATUS FOR A PORTION OF COUNTY ROAD 10
WHEREAS, the county of Hennepin has, by mutual consent of the
City of Brooklyn Center, reconstructed County State Aid Highway 10 between
Trunk Highway 152 and the West City limits; and
WHEREAS, sections of this project were constructed on new
alignment and the remaining sections of the previously designated roadway
will no longer be needed for county highway purposes; and
WHEREAS, on December 5, 1967, the Hennepin County Board of
Commissioners passed a resolution requesting that the Commissioner of
Highways revoke and designate certain portions of County State Aid Highway
No. 10 in the City of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, state law requires municipal concurrence to the
revocation or designation of County Highways within a municipality:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The City of Brooklyn Center concurs with the revocation
of the County Road 10 designation for the portions of the
following described roadway located within the City of
Brooklyn Center; and further accepts said described roadway as
a city street:
Commencing at a point on the centerline of Bass Lake Road
approximately 360 feet westerly of Orchard Avenue; thence
easterly along Bass Lake Road to the centerline of Orchard
Avenue; thence northerly along Orchard Avenue to 58th Avenue
North as platted in the City of Crystal; thence easterly on
58th Avenue North to a point on the corporate boundary line
between the City of Crystal and the City of Brooklyn Center
located at or near the east quarter corner of Section 4, Town-
ship 118 North, Range 21 West; thence continuing easterly on
58th Avenue North a distance of approximately 560 feet to a
north -south street shown in plat of Auditors Subdivision No. 216
in the City of Brooklyn Center; thence northerly along said north-
south street to the centerline of Bass Lake Road (58th Avenue North),
as shown in plat of Auditors Subdivision No. 216 in the City of
Brooklyn Center, and there terminating.

2. The City of Brooklyn Center concurs with County Road 10
designation for the portions of the following described roadway
located within the City of Brooklyn Center;
Commencing at a point on the centerline of Bass Lake Road
approximately 360 feet westerly of Orchard Avenue; thence easterly
and northerly on a 17 degree curve to a point on Orchard Avenue
approximately 360 feet northerly of Bass Lake Road extended; thence
northerly on Orchard Avenue to a point approximately 160 feet
northerly of the centerline of 58th Avenue North, as platted in the
City of Crystal; thence northerly and easterly on a 9 degree curve
to a point on the centerline of Bass Lake Road (58th Avenue North)
as shown in plat of Auditor's Subdivision No. 216 in the
City of Brooklyn Center; thence easterly on said Bass Lake
Road a distance of approximately 140 feet to the centerline of
a north -south street (Major Avenue) as shown in the plat of
Auditors Subdivision No. 216 in the City of Brooklyn Center, and
there terminating.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon,the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg,
and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
