HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-017 CCRMember Howard Heck its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. 68 -17 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -19 AND PROVIDING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF UNASSESSED COST OF WATER IMPROVE- MENT NO. 1960 -1 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: 1968 -19 Water main in 68th Avenue North from Lee Avenue to T.H. 152 (Osseo Road). WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $7,663.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 5th day of February, 1968, at 8 :00 P.M. CST, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE NAMED STREETS WHERE THE PROJECT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Water Improvement Project No. 1968 -19. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that the properties which will be served by Water Improvement Project No. 1968 -19 when said improvement is completed, will also be benefitted by Water Improvement No. 1960 -1, which properties were not initially assessed for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1; and that as to expenditures made for Water Improvement No. 1960 -1 from general ad valorem tax levies or other sources and funds in addition to special assess- ments heretofore made for said improvement the City shall be reimbursed therefor' by adding approximately $32.00 to the assessments to be levied for Water Improvement No. 1968 -19 and the City Clerk shall cause notice that such additional amounts will be assessed to be included in the notice of hearing in the making of said Water Improvement Project No. 1968 -19. 1 1 1 Resolution No. ATTEST: 68 -17 January 22, 19 6 8 Date The motion for the adoption for the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
