HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-019 CCRMember John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO, 68 -19 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING, BASE SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -22 AND CURB GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1968 -23 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: 1968 -22 Street Grading, base and surfacing on 68th Avenue North from Lee Avenue to T.H. 152 (Osseo Road). 1968 -23 Curb gutter on 68th Avenue North from Lee Avenue to T.H. 152 (Osseo Road). WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs of $18,247.00 and $6,629.00 respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 5th day of February, 1968, at 8 :15 and 8 :20 o'clock P. M. CST, respectively,and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE NAMED STREET WHERE THE PROJECT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED. 4. The proposed improvements shall be designated Street Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1968 -22 and Curb Gutter Improvement Project No. 1968 -23, respectively. ATTEST: January 22, 1968 1 Resolution No. 68 -19 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same; none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
