RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THREE PATROL CARS AND
TWO POLICE CARS
WHEREAS, the County Purchasing Agent has reported that on January
9, 1968 at 2 :00 P. M. they opened and tabulated bids received for furnishing
of three (3) police patrol cars and two (2) police cars, and that said bids
were as follows:

*Stated in bid that any painting other than front doors would be at purchasers cost.
*Took exception to the $2.00 /car per day penalty after 60 days also took exception
to the specifications on pickup and delivery of cars for warranty work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the bid of Southtown Chrysler Plymouth in the amount of
$6,591.63 for the furnishing of three (3) police patrol cars, including options;
in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted
by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Iten Chevrolet Co. in the
amount of $3,800.00 for the furnishing of two (2) police cars, including options;
in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted by
a responsible bidder and so id bid is hereby accepted.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard
Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
