HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-043 CCR1 Member Earl Rydberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: February 19, 1968 Date ATTEST: RESOLUTION NO. 68 -43 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN TAX FORFEITED LAND IN THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER TO BE USED FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES WHEREAS, there is situated within the boundaries of the City of Brooklyn Center, in the County of Hennepin, certain tax forfeited land which for classifi- cation purposes has been designated as Classification: Non conservation list "642 -C and WHEREAS, Non conservation list "642 -C" includes Parcel No. 4120 described as "that part of Lot 36, Auditor's Subdivision No. 309, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying north of the south 660 feet and WHEREAS, the south 60 feet of the north 363 feet of Lot 36, Auditor's Subdivision No. 309, Hennepin County, Minnesota, is a necessary extension of a public street, to wit: Woodbine Lane, said extension of which bisects Parcel No. 4120; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center desires to obtain the south 60 feet of the north 363 feet of Lot 36, Auditor's Subdivision No. 309, Hennepin County, Minnesota, the north line of said lot being the centerline of 73rd Avenue North. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be instructed to make application for conveyance of that part of Parcel 4120 necessary for street purposes, as above described, and further that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to sign such application for conveyance. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Earl Rydberg, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
